Join us in recognizing World Epilepsy Awareness Day tomorrow, March 26th.
Wear PURPLE tomorrow with your uniform shorts, skirts, pants or jumper (may be worn over top of the jumper).
We will have a guest speaker at morning prayer and assembly.
International Epilepsy Day seeks to raise awareness and educate the general public on the true facts about epilepsy and the urgent need for improved treatment, better care, and greater investment in research.
The Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a religious congregation founded in Italy in 1894 by Mother Clelia Merloni. She was a remarkably dynamic spiritual leader who sent sisters to serve the needs of the Church in the United States and South America within a few years of the beginning of her congregation.
She led a life of amazing holiness and goodness and was Beatified by Pope Francis on Nov. 3, 2018 in Rome.
A number of sisters of Blessed Clelia’s congregation have served and currently serve in the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee:
—Sr. Elizabeth Knight served as Principal of Sacred Heart Cathedral School from 1993 to 2009.
—Sr. Margaret Kuntz is Diocesan Director of Faith Formation and has served in Pensacola since 1986. Sr. Margaret Ann Calcutta has taught in the St. John Catholic School Morning Star Program since 2012, and Sr. Kierstin has served at Pensacola Catholic High School since 1987.
The Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus are inviting you to join us at a Mass celebrating the Beatification of Blessed Clelia Merloni, with Bishop William Wack as principal celebrant, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at 1:30 p.m., followed by a reception in the Ave Maria Hall. We hope that you can join us!

For Hurricane Florence Relief Efforts
On September 14th Hurricane Florence slammed North and South Carolina
with torrential rains which caused major flooding.
Our Student Council would like to send a monetary donation
to Catholic Charities to assist those in need.
Wear something green or black and donate $2 to participate.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the people in the path of Hurricane Michael.
As seasoned Floridians living in the panhandle, many of us have been through this with
Frederic, Erin, Opal, Ivan and Dennis. Please be aware that the counties affected fall
within our Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee.
Parking for the Blessing of the Animals is the first two rows (closest to the church) in the school parking lot.
